About me

Dacian Carlson

Most of us have friends who know exactly what they want to do in terms of their professional career since they were little, but in my case, I wasn’t so lucky.

In High School, I found myself undecided as far as what my career path would look like, just as many of us do. On a whim, I took an Intro to Graphic Design class as an elective figuring it would be interesting, and I could breeze right through it and on to other things.

I’ve always had a creative side and enjoyed drawing, building and other aspects of design, but never really thought of it as something I could do professionally. However, after taking this design class, I realized it could be applied to business in many more ways than I anticipated.

I started signing up for more classes in the field until there were no more available to me. I then set my sights on early college courses where I earned college credits at a local community college. Nearing the end of my senior year, I unexpectedly met the owner of a screen printing and embroidery company in my hometown. We got to talking with about their business needs and I was quickly brought on as an intern. I saw this as a way get ahead of my competition by gaining real work experience. It was a busy time with my internship, going to college and holding my same high school job at local car wash. Balancing school, two jobs and a social life isn’t always easy, but it does build character and good work ethic.

Before long I was contacted by a company called Badass Beard Care about a design position. Excited for what I considered a “real job”, I came aboard as an assistant designer. I had great success in my position propelling me to lead designer, and I eventually began handling all the design needs on my own. My knowledge and skill level grew from their basic design needs to larger marketing, branding and advertising campaigns.

In August 2022, I moved to Arizona from California, my home of 22 years. It was in Arizona that I decided to take my skills to the next level and open a Marketing, Advertising and Graphic Design company called M.A.G. Solutions & Branding L.L.C which I continue to own and operate. I also still hold my full-time position at Badass Beard Care as their lead designer. In my off time, I work weeknights and weekends building my company.

Whether it be MAG Solutions & Branding, or I settle into a position with another company, I have much to offer in my area of expertise. I’m working to position myself to manage large marketing, branding, and advertising campaigns by utilizing the best designers along with my innovative skills, to bring large scale projects to life in an impactful, successful way.
